Matthew is a senior at Newport High School. After being introduced to programming in middle school, he was interested by the wide expanse of possibilities that coding entailed and got into competitive programming. Now as president of programming club, Mat hopes everyone is able to learn something from the club meetings, whether it be knowledge or skills. Outside of coding, he also enjoys math and running.
Ethan is currently a senior and he has a great passion for both computer science and playing the double bass - but he also is a fervent sports fan. Ethan finds great value in not only acquiring knowledge, but also sharing it with others through teaching and open communication.
Evan is a senior at Newport High School and Vice President of programming club. He is in the USACO Silver Division and also experienced with python and java. He enjoys swimming and hanging out with friends.
Matthew is a senior at Newport High School. He is the CTO of Programming Club, his overall goal of being CTO is to introduce AAA game development to all as well as helping programmers starting on C/C++ and other languages that provides low level control over hardware. He is the one who created this website. Outside programming, he enjoys drawing and animating.
Vishwa is a junior and secretary of the Newport Programming Club. He's been coding in python and java for 3 years and is currently learning app development. Outside programming, he enjoys playing tennis, hanging out with friends, and playing video games.
Grace is a senior at Newport High School who is passionate about supporting women in STEM. After being introduced to Java in the 8th grade, she has been expanding her knowledge in the field of programming to include several other languages like Python, HTML, PHP, and more. Outside of school, Grace’s favorite activities include playing with her cat, managing her clay charm shop, and captaining Newport’s drill team.
Angie is a junior at Newport High School. She has taken several Java lessons in the past and is excited to expand people's knowledge in programming through this club. In her spare time, she enjoys playing volleyball, listening to music, and watching TV.
Allen is currently a sophomore at Newport High School. He really enjoys programming competitively, and is currently in the Platinum division in the USACO and has the rank of Master on Codeforces. Allen was selected as a finalist to attend the USACO Training Camp in May 2022. He also does FIRST Tech Challenge robotics, and will be co-captaining team 18225 High Definition next year. Outside of programming, he enjoys playing piano and playing basketball and volleyball with friends. Peter is a senior at Newport High School. Following his ongoing interest in competitive mathematics he was introduced to Java during the freshman year of high school. Peter worked with Python previously and is now invested in USACO and how to become a more fluid and advanced programmer. He works to produce the content for meetings and help the leadership team with other programming opportunities.
